Our Story

Born from a small celebration

It began with a quiet evening in Los Angeles.

Nothing special had happened that day. There was no birthday, no holiday, no reason to set the table beautifully. It was just an ordinary night after a long day — a few cookies in a ceramic jar, a candle flickering nearby, and the people we loved sitting close.

For a moment, the day slowed down. The room felt warmer. The cookies tasted sweeter. Someone laughed softly, and the little ceramic jar on the table suddenly felt like more than something that simply held treats. It had become part of the evening — part of a small, ordinary moment we knew we would want to remember.

That night stayed with us because it reminded us of something we often forget: the most meaningful memories are not always made during perfect occasions. Sometimes, they are tucked quietly inside the smallest rituals.

A candle lit after dinner, a favorite mug held in both hands on a slow morning, a plate used for a slice of cake on a weekday afternoon, a handmade vessel sitting on the shelf, reminding you of a season, a place, or a person you love...

This feeling is where Graces Design began.

We started with ceramic candles because we loved the idea of creating something that could bring warmth into a room, then stay with you long after the flame was gone. The scent would fill the air, the candlelight would soften the evening, and later, the handmade vessel could continue its life in your home — holding flowers, keepsakes, jewelry, little notes, or simply sitting on a shelf as a quiet reminder of a beautiful moment.

Over time, our customers began keeping, reusing, and displaying our ceramic vessels. They did not just love the fragrance or the glow of the candle. They loved the feeling of the piece. They loved that it could become part of their home, their routines, and their memories.

That love inspired us to create more handmade ceramic pieces for everyday living — mugs, plates, bowls, vessels, and charming tabletop designs made for the real, beautiful moments that happen at home.

A Graces Design piece is not made only to decorate a room. It is made to be used, held, shared, and remembered.

It might sit on the table when friends come over. It might hold the dessert someone made with love. It might be there during movie nights, Sunday breakfasts, rainy afternoons, or late evenings when the house finally feels calm. And one day, without realizing it, that piece may remind you of something — a breakfast with someone you love, a friend who stayed late talking at your table, or a quiet season of life that felt ordinary then, but beautiful in memory.

Over time, these small objects begin to hold more than what they were made for.

They hold moments.

The name Graces Design is inspired by the Three Graces from Greek mythology, who symbolize joy, beauty, and charm. To us, those qualities do not only belong to grand occasions. They can live in ordinary days, in familiar kitchens, in warm candlelight, and in the small rituals that make life feel tender and full.
